The Pause
It’s been eight months since my last post, eight months of pressing pause on the outside world and being in what I can only describe as an incubation period of creative growth. Lockdown has been a timely coincidence which has also gifted me the space to be that I’ve needed to complete that incubation period and come back up into the outside world. Given that I’m here, I just wanted to reach out and let you know what I’ve been up to, whats next and what to expect over the coming months.
In this pause I’ve deepened my commitment to my life purpose – to wake people up to all of who they are through the power of authentic creativity. I believe that we are so much more than who or what we think we are, that we ALL have the ability to achieve our dreams, that being stuck and feeling lost, not good enough, afraid does not have to hold us back, and when we get out of our own way, we are able to follow our creative call with confidence, clarity and direction. I’ve been working out how I can turn that mission, into something that is grounded and authentic, with practical tools so as to touch more lives doing what I love and doing the work that matters.
During the last eight months I’ve written my first book, created an online subscription website, created cards and journals to promote inspired thought and creative intelligence, opened up my online shop ‘The Art of Creative Living’ and am in the process of re-shaping my business to take it and my creations to their next step. I’ve also gone deeper on what it is I do and what it is I want to make a stand for whilst staying aligned to the businesses core values inspire – empower- create.

As I begin to roll out what’s next and how I can help you get the results you want as you follow your creative call, I’ll share more about the who, what, where, when ,why and how. It may feel a little clunky as I work it all out and find my rhythm, so I’m asking that you bare with me, support me and share with me what it feels like to be on the otherside of who I am being and what I am doing, let me know whats working for you, what you want more of and what’s missing – if it’s important to you – it’s important to me too.
For now, as I get into that rhythm I want to share with you “The Power of You” the first of those creations. A book, journal and cards for curious, soulful and adventurous creatives with a warriors spirit who appreciate self mastery and authenticity – and of course, are fascinated by what it means to ‘be’ creative. It’s for those who care more for carving their own path than following the herd … it’s for every creative who are following their dreams.
Through the pages of The Power of You I explore the three levels of creativity – what it means to ‘be’ in each one. The path to authenticity and the 12 steps we take as we move through each level, understanding who we are at each step and how we get in our own way. It’s an invitation to connect deeper with your Creative Self, your journey, your intuition and your potential.
I invited Lisa Visser renowned Fine Art Photographer to review the book, cards and journal that make up this collection. Lisa spent weeks going through every page, using the accompanying journal and cards, here’s a snippet of what she had to say :
